In the older tradition of Wave Internet exploring the development of web services, Islanda is based on the commitment of technology professionals who work to make our vision a reality. The Wave Internet philosophy is that a very few of the right people are worth much more than large numbers of people only doing a job. We believe in the technology we design and implement and know it will help to make a more efficient, resource sensitive, and collaborative planet for us all.
Michael R. Meyer
CEO/CFO, helped introduce a range of cable TV and digital services to
Hawaii in his many years with Oceanic Time Warner Cable. These services
included addressable converters, pay per view, universal remote
controls, Music Choice, dedicated Internet circuits for business, and
Road Runner Hawaii. He left Oceanic in 1999 to set up Wave Internet as
a center for the development of new Internet based services to help
foster a technology based economy in Hawaii and moved on to build
Islanda to explore the future of managed virtual services. He has
undergraduate and graduate degrees from UH Hilo and UH Manoa and has
been involved in technology implementation in Hawaii for over thirty
years.
Setsu Kohata Meyer
COO, also head
of Wave Internet LLC, Islanda's parent company has many years of
experience in travel industry management and international sales and
marketing throughout East Asia and the Pacific. As head of Wave
Internet she provides administrative and Human Resource management for
both Islanda and WaveCS, Wave's Department of Defense and federal
contract division.
