Islanda™ was formed in 2007 as the result of the acquisition of CTA Information Systems by Wave Internet LLC. While Islanda™ has retained CTA's staff and products, the effective blending brings together the complementary resources of both companies.
Islanda™ and Wave Internet are Hawaii owned and managed. Wave Internet provides a variety of internet and web based services to business, government, military, and educational institutions in Hawaii and California. The management of Islanda and Wave Internet has been providing innovative technology and new media to Hawaii for over thirty years.

Islanda is presented in the August edition of Hawaii Business News as this month’s Innovation feature. While the article erroneously lists www.inets.com as the web address Islanda owns that domain name as part of the asset purchase from CTA Hawaii completed in early 2007.
